Random shapes and patterns appear in all sorts of things, whether it be fingernails, toasted bread (the face of Jesus has been reported to be seen on a slice of toast recently).
Given that there are so many fingernails, slices of bread and so on, it is hardly surprising that once in a while a so-called ';recognisable'; shape or pattern is seen. While the odds against such a phenomenon are high, this is offset by the sheer number of opportunities for the occurrence.
It's a bit like winning the lottery really; you know that you won't win, but you can be pretty sure that SOMEONE will.Is it strange for a number to appear in your finger nail?
