How much does it cost to have a dog's nails quicked under anesthesia?

Some dogs nails have been neglected to the point where their feet actually splay.

This is a painful condition that can cause chronic pain.

Sometimes it is worth the anesthesia to trim/laser them to a more natural state.

This procedure is painful and pain medication like Rimadyl or Dermaxx should be used to decrease inflammation post op.

If NSAIDs are not an opion tramadol can be dispensed.

The cost typically runs anywhere from 100 to 180 dollars.

The 180 would include pre anesthetic bloodwork and pain

management.

It's going to depend on where you live and your veterinarian's pricing, you have to call to be sure. Better question is WHY do you want your dog's nails to be quicked under anesthesia? If it's to make the quicks recess, there is a much easier way of doing that, and it's called regular nail trims. How much does it cost to have a dog's nails quicked under anesthesia?
Depends on where you live, but anesthesia usually runs about $200-$300.

Anesthesia is dangerous and usually a vet won't do it just to clip nails. If the dog needed a dental, or some other surgery at the same time, they'll usually do the nail clip for free.

It is quite expensive. An easier way would be to train your dog to accept nail clipping. I used a clicker and had success in about 3 days getting my dog to stop freaking out over the Dremel.

This is a great video that shows you how to properly use the clicker to get the dog to behave while having its nails trimmed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgEwiH8Ce鈥?/a>
People, she was a dog that was rescued, right? Talk to the vet and see what they say would be best. If you don't have a regular vet, make sure you phone around. Then you can work on clipping them without anaesthesia.

Good Luck
i don't know the exact cost but i know that anesthesia can run at 75 dollars or more. I do know that when you cut all of the nails short, the dogs paws are very painful!
You dont neccessarily need an anaesthetic to clip dog claws unless physically unable to touch its feet due to fear and/or aggression, etc.
Alot! Would your dog sit still if you used the Peticure. (do a search for it)
my vet has to sedate my girls to do their nails...

but I really have no idea what it costs
Why would you want to do that to your dog?
