To get your nails done, means to go to a salon and get a ';makeover'; of your nails. If you get your toes done, then normally they will start by putting your feet in a relaxing chair. Your feet will be placed in a hot jet filled bath. This is to relax the skin around your toes and to make your feet softer. After letting your feet soak for about 5-10 minutes, they will take each foot out one at a time, and dry them off. Then they put this softener on. Its feels like sand. They will role this all over your legs and feet. Then they rinse this off, and put some lotion on your legs. Then one foot at a time they clean out the dirt under your toenails. They also might use a foot board which is similar to a nail file, but instead it makes the skin on the bottom of your foot smooth. You pick out whatever color nail polish you want on your toes, and then the paint your toes. They then give you flip flops so your toes dont smudge, and they take you to do your finger nails. they start this by putting your hands in a soapy warm water filled bowls. This makes your skin and cuticles soft. After leaving your hands in there for a few minutes they will put lotion on them, and then they will give you a brush, and tell you to go wash your hands. the brush is to clean under your nails to get all the dirt out. I usually wash my hands thurouly for about a minute. Then you go back, and they push your cuticles back with a pointy looking stick type thing. Sometimes, if your nails are really bad, then they take a machine that will make a lot of noise, and might be a little scary. All it is though is a machine that smoothes the tops of your nails to make them smooth. They might also clip your nails and file them to make them all even. Then they take the nail polish you picked out, and will paint them. Sometimes they will put your fingers in front of a fan to dry. then they will spray your fingers with quick drying spray, and put your hands and toes under fleurecent lights. Dont move your hands around at all, otherwise they will smudge. It is a really relaxing process, and unless you go to somewhere that they dont do good service, then your nails will look very good. As for preperation to go, you should take a shower, and take extra time to shave. Also if there is a specific nail polish color that you really like that you own, then you can bring it and they will use that color. I also suggest that you wear shorts, otherwise you will have to role your pants way up. You will also defenitly want to wear flip flops to leave the salon with. If you can, you will want someone to come who dosent plan on getting there nails done who can open the car door for you, buckle your seat belt, and drive home. well it can mean different things. first it could mean just going, getting a relazing manicure, and having them painted, or french tipped. and second, it could mean actually getting tips put on to give them length!
if you have good nails (long and healthy) i would stick to just getting them painted/ french manicure. the tips will ruin your nails for a while, and it may/ maynot be worth it to you!

its means go and get a manicure(hands) or a pedicure(feet). what they do for a mani is most times they will massage and mosturize your hand, cut your nails, and then push the cuticules back, that hardly hurts, and then paint your nails in a couple layers of the color you, or the bride probably, picks out. then you go and sit down and stick your hands under a special light that dries it quickly. the manicure normally lasts two weeks or so.
for a pedicure, normally you sit in this big comfortable chair, and stuck your feet in this tub of water to soak them. and then the people will exfoliate you scrub your feet, it kinda tickles, and that will make them very soft. theyll cut your nails, puch the cuticules, then they will paint your toes nails as well. and you go and sit under the light again.
you dont really have to do anything before you go.
