No matter how hard you soak it,you can't drive a nail with a sponge. Is this true?

No, it's not true. Soak the sponge, then put it in the deep freeze. You might have some ice chips flying and broken sponge pieces, but you could probably drive one nail before it all broke apart. No matter how hard you soak it,you can't drive a nail with a sponge. Is this true?
try it to find outNo matter how hard you soak it,you can't drive a nail with a sponge. Is this true?
Wouldn't that just give you a rusty nail? :-)
It depends on how much energy is transfered from the sponge to the nail. So if you have a really big and flat head on the nail, this could happen. So take a thick strip of sponge some two feet long, soak it and swing it on to a big flat nail head. Some of the water would squish out due to the centrifugal force, but some should remain giving enough weight. Practice and you might just do it.

PS: This would be much easier if you soak the sponge in more viscous liquids like honey.
