Get to a doctor. If it has gain green the poisen from it can get into your blood and kill you very very quickly!
Must have been a HEAVY dish!!

The color of your toe is OLD BLOOD. It will NOT go away.

Your nail, if all of it is colored, will probably fall off.

It is essentially ';dead';

Not fun, but it WILL grow back.

Heavy band aids help to minimize the pain as you have no nail and it grow back.

But old blood, a bad bruise, is ugly. Just know that it will eventually be healed.
ITS NOT GANGRENE!

But it does sound bruised and infected. Go to the doctor and they will fix you right up.
go see the doctor... before you need to get your foot amputated.
If it's really gangrene, your toe would have drop off by now.

Most probably it's clotted blood trapped under the toenail. Unfortunately there's no way to remove it other than to make a trip to your friendly GP and getting him/her to remove the nasty stuff either by piercing the toenail or yanking it off.

Sounds painful, but you wouldn't want to risk your toe getting an infection if you just let it be.
its not gangrene its just bruised ive had this happen to me before but i got hit with a hammer just go to the docter and get medicine
its just brused and will come off the puss means it might be infected . you need to get it checked out by a doc.
To be completely sure, go to the doctors. My experience with dropping things on my toes is that you bruised it very badly, and you will lose that toenail eventually. Doubt it is gangrene, but you won't feel right until you seek medical attention so do so promptly.
Its not gangrene dont worry. You have to give it time for the nail to fall off, more than 2 months. My friend slamed her nail in the car door in september and her nail didn't fall off till december.
Minor bruises are easily treated, but it's probably best to talk to a doctor if:

A bruise doesn't go away after 2 weeks.

You bruise often and you haven't been bumping into things.

Bruises seem to develop for no known reasons.

A bruise is getting more painful.

Your bruise is swelling.

You can't move a joint.

The bruise is near your eye.

Probably not gangrene...

It probably was old blood that came out of your toe nail, not pus.

go in to the podiatrist, or family doc to get it checked out.
