If you get cut or srapped by a rusty nail and you put rubbing acohol on it does it not get infected?

Putting alcohol on an open cut or scratch will burn like hell, I would suggest just washing gently with warm soapy water, pat dry and depending on where its located then u might need to put a bandage on it to keep dirt out. Now - u will need to go to Dr's and get a shot, tetnus shot-- so that u dont get anything from it, u will need one of these if u havent gotten one in the last 3-4 yrs... So check on it with ur parents or guardian. If it gets bubbly, puss green ooze then it is getting infected, also look for red lines around the area, that is serious if u see that-- blood posioning is very bad, get checked immediately if u see it... There is no doubt that it helps it avoid getting infected however you need to go to your local doctor and get a tetnis shot asap...

If you don't have a current tetnus shot you will need to get one as you could get lock jaw from this.
